The referee ignored Edmonton Elks's protests and gave Gerry Doyon a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Edmonton Elks getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Gerry Doyon hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Edmonton Elks's zone, Granville Belcher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renaud Britt came out of the goal and Granville Belcher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ariel Iban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Renaud Britt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute of the match TC☆ Étoiles Filantes FC ™ got a corner. Edmonton Elks's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Miguel Shannon ran over to the corner to take the kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Edmonton Elks fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! Granville Belcher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Edmonton Elks's Donnie Berger in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donnie Berger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Donnie Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hippolyte McKinney having to interfere. If Donnie Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 57th minute, Luigi Goldsmith reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hippolyte McKinney. The goal made the score 3-1. In the 61st minute, Luigi Goldsmith hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renaud Britt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Granville Belcher in the 63rd minute of play. Ariel Iban's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Renaud Britt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ariel Iban during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, TC☆ Étoiles Filantes FC ™'s Ariel Iban got a free kick in the 70th minute. Donnie Berger struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Hippolyte McKinney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Edmonton Elks. Granville Belcher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Edmonton Elks's zone, Ariel Iban stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renaud Britt came out of the goal and Ariel Iban tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luigi Goldsmith recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donnie Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, TC☆ Étoiles Filantes FC ™'s Fatsali Bedirhan got a free kick in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Edmonton Elks players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for TC☆ Étoiles Filantes FC ™.
