The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Otto Varner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lu Sen Ting, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 12 minutes of play, Bilby's Vicente Carey made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olavo Lobato was left in no man's land by his defense there! Otto Varner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Rios in the 16th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Bilby's zone, Lu Sen Ting stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Otto Varner came out of the goal and Lu Sen Ting tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeremias Rios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jeremias Rios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 26 minutes, Lu Sen Ting managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tidehead's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lu Sen Ting was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Tidehead's Jeremias Rios sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Otto Varner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jeremias Rios took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Otto Varner. Otto Varner dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Lu Sen Ting sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charlie Pitts struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Otto Varner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tidehead. In the 42nd minute Lu Sen Ting shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Varner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bilby's Otto Varner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Rios in the 43rd minute of play. Josiah Grant hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Lu Sen Ting fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otto Varner having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Jeremias Rios took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Otto Varner to make any attempt to save it. 75 minutes into the match, Bilby's goal looked a bit too open when Lu Sen Ting came free, but Otto Varner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 78 minutes, Lu Sen Ting managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tidehead's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lu Sen Ting was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olavo Lobato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taylor Déziel in the 91st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeremias Rios in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Otto Varner saved Bilby from getting behind. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bilby's goalkeeper Otto Varner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
