Shannon McKinnon started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Edgington AFC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Duncan Pelland hit a great ball. If Shannon McKinnon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duncan Pelland charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Duncan Pelland the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 12 minutes into the match, Vauquelin CN's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Newell came free, but Benedict King reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Domingo Queen in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedict King saved Vauquelin CN from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Shannon McKinnon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Raymond Roland. That made the score 1-0 in the 30 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Granville Askew got free with Raymond Roland in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Granville Askew came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Raymond Roland could save by the left post. Granville Askew sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benedict King took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Newell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Domingo Queen was the one to do the kick off. Granville Askew struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Raymond Roland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vauquelin CN. Tyron Schaffer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Raymond Roland. Edgington AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Granville Askew managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vauquelin CN's supporters rose to their feet, but Granville Askew was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raymond Roland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vauquelin CN's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Domingo Queen scored to the left of an out of position Benedict King, making the score, 1-1. Micheal Hand kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Shannon McKinnon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vauquelin CN's supporters rose to their feet, but Shannon McKinnon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. If Shannon McKinnon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, Vauquelin CN's Shannon McKinnon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raymond Roland narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Shannon McKinnon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Raymond Roland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Granville Askew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raymond Roland having to interfere. Terry Ruth's late challenge caught a Vauquelin CN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgington AFC's Raymond Roland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Granville Askew in the 89th minute of play. In the 95th minute Domingo Queen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedict King saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vauquelin CN were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
