After a rather tough play, Edgington AFC's Adam Newell got a free kick in the 3rd minute. A collision led to Edgington AFC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Darnell Rochon hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Edgington AFC's zone, Derek Weston stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raymond Roland came out of the goal and Derek Weston tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the match, Derek Weston had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raymond Roland. Edgington AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Derek Weston was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 12th minute, Fernando Strong ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raymond Roland was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 17th match minute, Edgington AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Myron Miranda to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Edgington AFC booed when River Plate Mtl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto Ragsdale didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Edgington AFC's zone, Leroy Dalton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raymond Roland came out of the goal and Leroy Dalton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Derek Weston scored 3-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raymond Roland, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ira Ransom struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Raymond Roland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Plate Mtl. 38 minutes into the match, Derek Weston dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Raymond Roland, 7-0. In the 45th minute, Derek Weston ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raymond Roland was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 8-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Derek Weston to make the kick off. After 50 played minutes Edgington AFC got a freekick which was hit by Adam Newell. In the 57th minute Winston Guevara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Roland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Myron Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Raymond Roland didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when River Plate Mtl's Derek Weston shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 9-0 in the ordered_time% minute. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Derek Weston put it in 11-0 from a short distance just to the right of Raymond Roland. After a rather tough play, Edgington AFC's Domingo Queen got a free kick in the 75th minute. After 79 minutes of play, River Plate Mtl's Teodoro Barger made it 12-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raymond Roland was left in no man's land by his defense there! Raymond Roland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leroy Dalton in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Edgington AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Derek Weston came free, but Raymond Roland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Teodoro Barger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Winston Guevara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that River Plate Mtl were the better team. River Plate Mtl's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
