When Lorenzo Parmentier came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Glenannan FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lorenzo Parmentier couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonia Merrill in the 8th minute of play forced Glenannan FC's goalkeeper Roger Mathieu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Hurricanes FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Florence Marin hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the game, Antonia Merrill was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valentine Harrington struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Roger Mathieu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hurricanes FC. In the 23rd minute, Antonia Merrill left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hurricanes FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Wally Delgado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrick Chung in the 28th minute. Valentine Harrington scored 0-3 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roger Mathieu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valentine Harrington who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Roger Mathieu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 68th minute Antonia Merrill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Mathieu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, Lorenzo Parmentier made a precise shot to the right of Wally Delgado. Hurricanes FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. If Valentine Harrington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roger Mathieu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonia Merrill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd match minute, Glenannan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Chung to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute of the match Elwood Keys shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roger Mathieu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 85 minutes, Sherman Friedman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hurricanes FC and the Glenannan FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th minute, Sherman Friedman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Hurricanes FC's Roger Mathieu threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Antonia Merrill, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 94 minutes into the match, Hurricanes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Chung came free, but Wally Delgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chants of Hurricanes FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Glenannan FC had held the ball for most of the match.
