The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Liberty FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Liberty FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Edgington AFC the free kick. Modesto Poole kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. A collision led to Liberty FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Harvey Sorenson hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the match, Liberty FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Newell came free, but Armel Lane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Sébastien Bailey recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bryant Boileau. Sébastien Bailey showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Armel Lane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from King Loiseau in the 18th minute of play. If Sébastien Bailey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th match minute, Edgington AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by King Loiseau to maneuver through the defense. 2-1 became the score in the 26th minute when Jewel Hopper elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 33rd minute Jewel Hopper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armel Lane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adam Newell during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Adam Newell hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute, Sébastien Bailey reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bryant Boileau. The goal made the score 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Edgington AFC's zone, Harvey Sorenson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bryant Boileau came out of the goal and Harvey Sorenson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute, Modesto Poole hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 49 minutes, Sébastien Bailey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liberty FC and the Edgington AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 49 played minutes Liberty FC got a freekick which was hit by Sébastien Bailey. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sébastien Bailey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Valentin Lamontagne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Bryant Boileau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bryant Boileau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sébastien Bailey in the 56th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Liberty FC's goalkeeper Armel Lane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by King Loiseau. A collision led to Liberty FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Jason Westbrook hit a great ball. After 73 played minutes, Edgington AFC's Micheal Hand shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Armel Lane came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Edgington AFC reached it. In the 75th minute, Jason Westbrook hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cletus Aguilera's late challenge caught a Edgington AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cletus Aguilera helped the player get up and apologised. If Sébastien Bailey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Liberty FC's Armel Lane got control of the ball when King Loiseau tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Jason Westbrook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sébastien Bailey came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Liberty FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sébastien Bailey couldn't finish the play. In the 98th minute Sébastien Bailey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryant Boileau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgington AFC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Liberty FC had won, even though Edgington AFC had held more of the ball.
