If Dorian Brodeur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pete Mailly in the 36th minute of play forced Sheshegwaning's goalkeeper Jordan Horner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37 played minutes Montreal Unionists got a freekick which was hit by Keenan Cartwright.
