Halifax Royals's Kirk Hirsch got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Terrance Adams in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Telesphore Anthony prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Terrance Adams sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Val Lester managed to get in a good position for a shot. Halifax Royals's supporters rose to their feet, but Val Lester was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jayson Goins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 1-0 became the score in the 37th minute when Terrance Adams elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 41 played minutes Terrance Adams rounded Halifax Royals's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Terrance Adams in the 45th minute of play forced Halifax Royals's goalkeeper Telesphore Anthony to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Terrance Adams stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Telesphore Anthony didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Terrance Adams went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 63rd minute, Zachary Bourque made a precise shot to the right of Telesphore Anthony. Halifax Royals's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After a rather tough play, Nelson FC's Pierre Boncoeur got a free kick in the 65th minute. Telesphore Anthony showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zachary Bourque, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Zachary Bourque sped through Halifax Royals's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Telesphore Anthony. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zachary Bourque in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Telesphore Anthony saved Halifax Royals from getting behind. Halifax Royals's Telesphore Anthony played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terrance Adams in the 77th minute of play. Telesphore Anthony made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zachary Bourque in the 79th minute of play. Zachary Bourque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Telesphore Anthony made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terrance Adams in the 96th minute of play. Nelson FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
