Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Val Lester started the match with the kick off. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Brain Romano sped through Halifax Royals's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Telesphore Anthony. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brain Romano in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Telesphore Anthony saved Halifax Royals from getting behind. When Val Lester fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Halifax Royals's protests and gave Val Lester a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of DOE FC booed when Halifax Royals was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Val Lester didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franklyn Courcelle who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Telesphore Anthony when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brain Romano in the 19th minute of play forced Halifax Royals's goalkeeper Telesphore Anthony to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Telesphore Anthony made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brain Romano in the 21st minute of play. A hard shot 26 in the game by Franklyn Courcelle from a close distance when the talented Telesphore Anthony managed to make a qualified save. Halifax Royals's players were relieved. 27 minutes into the match, Halifax Royals's goalkeeper Telesphore Anthony had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Franklyn Courcelle. If Kirk Hirsch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Val Lester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Léopold Crain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kirk Hirsch, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Telesphore Anthony took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brain Romano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Franklyn Courcelle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brain Romano to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Brain Romano managed to get in a good position for a shot. DOE FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Brain Romano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Telesphore Anthony breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brain Romano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Telesphore Anthony having to make a save. 57 minutes into the game, Shawn Kline was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Halifax Royals's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DOE FC the free kick. When Brain Romano came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the DOE FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brain Romano couldn't finish the play. Kirk Herrington kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Val Lester blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Léopold Crain having to make a save. After 65 played minutes DOE FC got a freekick which was hit by Brandon Fagan. A collision led to Halifax Royals getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Kirk Hirsch hit a great ball. Léopold Crain didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kirk Hirsch went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After 79 minutes, Franklyn Courcelle made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Halifax Royals's Telesphore Anthony tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Léopold Crain made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kirk Hirsch in the 85th minute. In the 90thth minute of the game Brain Romano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Halifax Royals's Telesphore Anthony was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 96th minute, Kirk Hirsch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
