In the 20th match minute, KW Warriors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thierry Madsen to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, KW Warriors's Terrance Comer got control of the ball when Zachary Bourque tried to sneak it across the goal line. Timothy Hicks hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Zachary Bourque received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Terrance Comer came out and tried to block the shot, but Zachary Bourque slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 27th minute. In the 31st minute Terrance Adams shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Terrance Comer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Onesime Sampson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Terrance Comer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Nelson FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
