Spectators: 7544 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1944, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Val Lester kicked off to start the match. Telesphore Anthony was a little too slow when Art Salmons got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 4th minute. The score was now 1-0. Art Salmons blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Telesphore Anthony having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Halifax Royals's Shawn Kline got a free kick in the 9th minute. Yann Hobbs's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Telesphore Anthony firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to Halifax Royals getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Jérémie Craven hit a great ball. Telesphore Anthony made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Hinton in the 22nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mark Carlton during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, MURGASH's Mark Carlton got a free kick in the 28th minute. 32 minutes into the game, Yann Hobbs cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Telesphore Anthony was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpected shot in the 36th minute by Art Salmons got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 37th minute, Yann Hobbs left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MURGASH fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Guy Calvert hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute of the match Mark Carlton shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Telesphore Anthony showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Art Salmons succeeded in the game's 45th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When Art Salmons came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the MURGASH fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Art Salmons couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Halifax Royals booed when MURGASH was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shad Funk didn't get a good kick on the ball. MURGASH made a substitution. Steven Durham replaced Erik Hinton. MURGASH's Jonathon Herron was substituted for Mark Carlton. After a rather tough play, MURGASH's Shad Funk got a free kick in the 61st minute. Clifford Corbeil was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 62nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 63rd minute, Val Lester got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Yann Hobbs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Boswell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Val Lester, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. A collision led to Halifax Royals getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ike Chouinard hit a great ball. After 78 minutes of play, MURGASH's Olen Zamora made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Telesphore Anthony was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 84 played minutes Halifax Royals got a freekick which was hit by Guy Calvert. Halifax Royals's Telesphore Anthony played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Art Salmons in the 85th minute of play. Joel Boswell was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Val Lester capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Val Lester really showed his touch with that goal: 5-1. If Yann Hobbs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 93 minutes into the match, Halifax Royals's goal looked a bit too open when Art Salmons came free, but Telesphore Anthony reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. MURGASH fully deserved thier win.
