Brock Hatcher was a little too slow when Eduardo Garceau got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-1. Fabio Jöhl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everette Bruner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chadwick Doherty scored 2-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brock Hatcher, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Brock Hatcher successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Chadwick Doherty could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Brock Hatcher made a huge save. In the 30th minute Eduardo Garceau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brock Hatcher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Everette Bruner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Everette Bruner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Everette Bruner sped through Finnegan FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fabio Jöhl. Alexandria's Brock Hatcher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Alexandria from getting a goal against them. In the 41st minute, Chadwick Doherty got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Everette Bruner charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Everette Bruner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Alexandria getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Everette Bruner hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Everette Bruner made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Alexandria's goal looked a bit too open when Chadwick Doherty came free, but Brock Hatcher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Finnegan FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Everette Bruner scored to the left of an out of position Fabio Jöhl, making the score, 2-3. Quintin Browning might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brock Hatcher. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Quintin Browning ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 66th minute, Clark Cyr fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Alexandria booed when Finnegan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Garceau didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Clark Cyr from long distance, 67 minutes into the match, got Fabio Jöhl's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Clark Cyr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Jöhl having to interfere. Clark Cyr struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Fabio Jöhl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alexandria. Brock Hatcher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Deniger in the 89th minute of the match. Everette Bruner who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Fabio Jöhl when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Finnegan FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Alexandria had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
