The referee ignored Ceylon AF's protests and gave Justin Course a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ceylon AF getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Justin Course hit a great ball. Herman Healy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wade Coyle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justin Course in the 21st minute of play forced Sprucedale's goalkeeper Vladan Kovačević to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vespasien Kiser received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vladan Kovačević came out and tried to block the shot, but Vespasien Kiser slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 22nd minute. Sprucedale's Vladan Kovačević played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vespasien Kiser in the 31st minute of play. After 32 played minutes Sprucedale got a freekick which was hit by Eugene Mendez. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 范桑适 to strike the kick off in the second half. If 范桑适 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Herman Healy made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Wade Coyle sent off a good shot on target. After 57 played minutes Ceylon AF got a freekick which was hit by Randolph Laforest. In the 58th minute, Raphaël Lunsford got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, 范桑适 took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Herman Healy to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Ceylon AF's Joseph Rojas got a free kick in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vespasien Kiser in the 86th minute of play forced Sprucedale's goalkeeper Vladan Kovačević to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute 范桑适 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herman Healy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sprucedale's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
