With an extended leg and a bit of luck Garrett Gladu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 18 minutes into the match, Summerland FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lott came free, but Jorne Volders reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Garrett Gladu made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Perry Brooks sent off a good shot on target. Jorne Volders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juliusz Szostak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Laverne Wesley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Summerland FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Laverne Wesley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Garrett Gladu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anderson Staley hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Summerland FC's Jorne Volders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lott in the 30th minute of play. Jorne Volders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chong Lamontagne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlton Davignon scored 1-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Garrett Gladu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jorne Volders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quincy Cahill in the 42nd minute of play. After some careless play in the C.S.M. Resita defense, Perry Brooks kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Garrett Gladu. The C.S.M. Resita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Garrett Gladu should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Mariano Lott made the kick off in the second half. Jorne Volders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute, Charly Beaud made a precise shot to the right of Garrett Gladu. C.S.M. Resita's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 59th minute, Théodore Ménard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Summerland FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Garrett Gladu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charly Beaud in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Summerland FC's goal looked a bit too open when Quincy Cahill came free, but Jorne Volders reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Mariano Lott lined in a short shot 4-1 behind a frustrated Jorne Volders. 75 minutes into the match, Mariano Lott dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jorne Volders, 5-2. Quincy Cahill struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Jorne Volders didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.S.M. Resita. C.S.M. Resita's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lorenzo Ott in the 86th minute. A nice corner shot did that Lorenzo Ott got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jorne Volders quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 92 minutes into the match, Summerland FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lott came free, but Jorne Volders reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorne Volders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chong Lamontagne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C.S.M. Resita's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
