A sloppy throw-in by Ildefonso Harkaitz in the 3rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Spondin AFC's Damien Person. After 5 played minutes Spondin AFC got a freekick which was hit by Damien Person. The supporters of Persepolis F.C. booed when Spondin AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Barger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Spondin AFC's Damien Person managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ildefonso Harkaitz in the 8 minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Arden Poulin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Persepolis F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Arden Poulin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeffrey Griggs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Jeffrey Griggs managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Persepolis F.C.'s Warner Anaya fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jeffrey Griggs made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Warner Anaya sent off a good shot on target. The corner led Persepolis F.C.'s Dominic Delgado to fire away a dangerous shot which Jeffrey Griggs despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Arden Poulin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Jeffrey Griggs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeffrey Griggs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Warner Anaya in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute Persepolis F.C. were awarded a corner. Dominic Delgado went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Dominic Delgado almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Spondin AFC's Jeffrey Griggs did a great save. 29 minutes into the match, Spondin AFC's goalkeeper Jeffrey Griggs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Warner Anaya. In the 32nd minute of the match Spondin AFC got a corner. Persepolis F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Clair Viens ran over to the corner to take the kick. Spondin AFC's Clair Viens was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Santos Perez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Spondin AFC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Clair Viens hit a great ball. In the 34thth minute of the game Warner Anaya who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Spondin AFC's Jeffrey Griggs was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jeffrey Griggs made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Warner Anaya sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd minute Arden Poulin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeffrey Griggs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeffrey Griggs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Warner Anaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Persepolis F.C. booed when Spondin AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damien Person didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Warner Anaya made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dino Tardif during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Dominic Delgado came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Persepolis F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dominic Delgado couldn't finish the play. Santos Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Lanza in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute Avery Merrill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeffrey Griggs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Persepolis F.C.'s Warner Anaya got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Warner Anaya in the 67th minute of play forced Spondin AFC's goalkeeper Jeffrey Griggs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69thth minute of the game Warner Anaya who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Spondin AFC's Jeffrey Griggs was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With his leg Santos Perez managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Spondin AFC's Benito Lanza fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jeffrey Griggs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Warner Anaya's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. The audience was convinced that Warner Anaya's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeffrey Griggs was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Jeffrey Griggs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arden Poulin in the 78th minute of play. Persepolis F.C. were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Spondin AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dominic Delgado took the corner. 82 minutes into the match, Spondin AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Arden Poulin came free, but Jeffrey Griggs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeffrey Griggs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arden Poulin in the 84th minute of the match. In the 86th minute Avery Merrill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeffrey Griggs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arden Poulin took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jeffrey Griggs. Jeffrey Griggs dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Spondin AFC's Gervais Becerra was substituted for Benito Lanza. Spondin AFC's West Canada was substituted for Owen Power. For all the effort they put into the match, the Spondin AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Persepolis F.C..
