With his leg Santos Perez managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Candido Cugat fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Persepolis F.C.'s Santos Perez got control of the ball when Gilbert Bonsaint tried to sneak it across the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Gilbert Bonsaint sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santos Perez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gilbert Bonsaint had several of the Persepolis F.C.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 29 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucas Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominic Delgado in the 32nd minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Persepolis F.C.'s Arden Poulin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lucas Maciel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. A collision led to Persepolis F.C. getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Avery Merrill hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilbert Bonsaint in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santos Perez saved Persepolis F.C. from getting behind. Santos Perez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Candido Cugat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilbert Bonsaint was the one to do the kick off. When Arden Poulin fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Persepolis F.C.'s protests and gave Arden Poulin a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Persepolis F.C. getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Arden Poulin hit a great ball. In the 82nd match minute, CLAYMORE COUNTRY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Bouget to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Warner Anaya took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Lucas Maciel to make any attempt to save it. In the 87th minute, Arden Poulin made a precise shot to the right of Lucas Maciel. CLAYMORE COUNTRY's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4.
