In the 27th minute, Donny Van De Beeck made a precise shot to the right of Sven Van Ghele. Club Atlético Lanús's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 39th minute Sidney Cavazos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Émilien Arrington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tad Rivière kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Galatic Dragons's Émilien Arrington proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Galatic Dragons from getting a goal against them. Hong Copeland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Émilien Arrington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven Van Ghele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tad Rivière in the 45th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Émilien Arrington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidney Cavazos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Liviu Liviu hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Sven Van Ghele made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donny Van De Beeck in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Lanús's Liviu Liviu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Émilien Arrington narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 59th minute Club Atlético Lanús were awarded a corner. Garfield Watson went to the cornerflag to take it. Sven Van Ghele made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Donny Van De Beeck sent off a good shot on target. 65 minutes into the match, Galatic Dragons's goal looked a bit too open when Lothaire Maddox came free, but Émilien Arrington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Émilien Arrington came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Lanús's Lothaire Maddox. But to his dismay, Lothaire Maddox quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After having played for 73 minutes, Sidney Cavazos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético Lanús's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sidney Cavazos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lothaire Maddox in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Émilien Arrington prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Club Atlético Lanús's Sven Van Ghele got control of the ball when Kaká van Beek tried to sneak it across the goal line. Club Atlético Lanús's Liviu Liviu got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Galatic Dragons players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Atlético Lanús.
