In the 4th minute Kazimierz Boniek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theron Dooley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Theron Dooley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kazimierz Boniek in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sylvester Grubbs in the 11th minute of play forced NDG Fury FC's goalkeeper Theron Dooley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Gracias a la Pelota - DAM's Sylvester Grubbs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Theron Dooley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of NDG Fury FC booed when Gracias a la Pelota - DAM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Célio Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Richie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NDG Fury FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gracias a la Pelota - DAM the free kick. After a rather tough play, NDG Fury FC's Ezequiel Richie got a free kick in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the match, NDG Fury FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sylvester Grubbs came free, but Theron Dooley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 minutes NDG Fury FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Horst Schulitz who took care of the corner kick. Telesphore Diamond thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Theron Dooley, a very annoying self made goal in the 33rd minute which led to 1-3. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Theron Dooley showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 39th minute Gracias a la Pelota - DAM were awarded a corner. Horst Schulitz went to the cornerflag to take it. 39 minutes into the match, NDG Fury FC's goal looked a bit too open when Célio Cabral came free, but Theron Dooley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Gracias a la Pelota - DAM's goal looked a bit too open when Ómar Sharif came free, but 白延珂 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sylvester Grubbs in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Theron Dooley saved NDG Fury FC from getting behind. Theron Dooley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicodème Lamoureux, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Gracias a la Pelota - DAM were furious when Célio Cabral was red carded, 67 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. NDG Fury FC made a substitution. Benjamin Davies replaced Chauncey Veilleux. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gracias a la Pelota - DAM fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! The crowd rose to their feet as Gracias a la Pelota - DAM's Nicodème Lamoureux slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Theron Dooley. That made the score 2-5 after 71 minutes of play. Mårten Arenstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 白延珂 having to interfere.
