After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Playo Arroniz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joanico FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Playo Arroniz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Americo Rujido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osoitz Albar in the 9th minute of play forced Joanico FC's goalkeeper Esteve Moyeda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donio Encio struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Americo Rujido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Joanico FC. If Fero Quiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Osoitz Albar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guayabos's supporters rose to their feet, but Osoitz Albar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esteve Moyeda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute Fero Quiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteve Moyeda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Hori Armiñan fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guayabos's protests and gave Hori Armiñan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute of the match Videl Casielles shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Americo Rujido showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dei Cerra's late challenge caught a Guayabos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dei Cerra helped the player get up and apologised. Dei Cerra kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Ryan Bañuelos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 39 minutes into the game, Donio Encio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Americo Rujido was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Joanico FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Donio Encio hit a great ball. Americo Rujido made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Playo Arroniz sent off a good shot on target. Guayabos's Americo Rujido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bastian Zuazo in the 49th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bastian Zuazo to make the kick off. Ildefonso Leyva kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Joanico FC's Videl Casielles tried to score from far away in the 54th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Americo Rujido didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Playo Arroniz went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Playo Arroniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Americo Rujido having to interfere. Hori Armiñan was shown his second yellow card after 60 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 61 played minutes Guayabos got a freekick which was hit by Hori Armiñan. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Playo Arroniz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bastian Zuazo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Americo Rujido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Osoitz Albar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osoitz Albar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteve Moyeda having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Playo Arroniz in the 90th minute of play forced Guayabos's goalkeeper Americo Rujido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Joanico FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Guayabos had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
