When Laurentzi Blasco came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Kasselburg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laurentzi Blasco couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Terremoto getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Ramond Guereña hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Terremoto's Esteban Sambrano got a free kick in the 25th minute. William Alcalde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurentzi Blasco in the 27th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Terremoto's zone, Huly Val stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Alcalde came out of the goal and Huly Val tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute, Kasselburg's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nayely Tixido fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Nayely Tixido could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Arnoldo Escobedo however easily saved by the left post. 44 minutes into the match, Kasselburg's goal looked a bit too open when Vigil Ocouto came free, but Arnoldo Escobedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vigil Ocouto to make the kick off. Arnoldo Escobedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nayely Tixido, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute.
