Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The supporters of Garibaldi AFC booed when Barker FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ponce Villaseñor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cipriano Fuente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odon Resines having to interfere. Garibaldi AFC's Xaiver Carrillos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Garibaldi AFC from getting a goal against them. Furman Lasarte kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Ponce Melo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aurelio Carabajal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Odon Resines read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Goito Macedo hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Xaiver Carrillos didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 30th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. After a rather tough play, Barker FC's Baltasar Cabrales got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Polo Azcunaga notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Barker FC's Odon Resines. Odon Resines was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Baltasar Cabrales's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xaiver Carrillos was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. If Polo Azcunaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baltasar Cabrales to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Baltasar Cabrales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xaiver Carrillos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ponce Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xaiver Carrillos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baltasar Cabrales's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Xaiver Carrillos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ponce Melo in the 77th minute of play. When Baltasar Cabrales came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Barker FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baltasar Cabrales couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute Ponce Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xaiver Carrillos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Barker FC's goalkeeper Odon Resines, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Baltasar Cabrales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ponce Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Xaiver Carrillos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Baltasar Cabrales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Barker FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Garibaldi AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
