Berdaitz Folgueras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Cobredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 11 played minutes Lavalleja got a freekick which was hit by Bartoleme Adan. 16 minutes into the match, Lavalleja's goalkeeper Socorro Ferragudo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Barros Taranco. Jacinto Guillarte kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Socorro Ferragudo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milian Valdaliso in the 18th minute of the match. Caio Murias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Berdaitz Folgueras read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th minute Milian Valdaliso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Socorro Ferragudo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bartoleme Adan took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Berdaitz Folgueras. Berdaitz Folgueras dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Barros Taranco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Barros Taranco got free with Socorro Ferragudo in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Milian Valdaliso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Barros Taranco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Socorro Ferragudo having to interfere. The ร๏lเร ŦC 1966 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lavalleja were winning 0-1.

If Caio Murias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Milian Valdaliso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Lavalleja getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Manuel Cobredo hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Barros Taranco managed to get in a good position for a shot. ร๏lเร ŦC 1966's supporters rose to their feet, but Barros Taranco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Socorro Ferragudo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caio Murias in the 69th minute of play forced ร๏lเร ŦC 1966's goalkeeper Berdaitz Folgueras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Berdaitz Folgueras made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Bartoleme Adan sent off a good shot on target. Berdaitz Folgueras didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 75th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. Socorro Ferragudo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barros Taranco, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Manuel Cobredo hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Berdaitz Folgueras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caio Murias in the 92nd minute of play. Milian Valdaliso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Socorro Ferragudo having to interfere. Merexildo Lorenzana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Socorro Ferragudo having to interfere. The ร๏lเร ŦC 1966 supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lavalleja's performance. The match ended with a win for Lavalleja.
