After 9 minutes, Dalmai Vadillo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paysandu FC and the Abrojal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Paysandu FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Dalmai Vadillo hit a great ball. Marcones Damar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilabert Fresno having to interfere. In the 15thth minute of the game Esteban Colomines who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Abrojal FC's Gilabert Fresno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nuxila Guilizasti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niolaao Lorenzo having to make a save. Paysandu FC's Esteban Colomines got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Abrojal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcones Damar came free, but Gilabert Fresno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Esteban Colomines managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paysandu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Esteban Colomines was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilabert Fresno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuxila Guilizasti in the 34th minute of play forced Paysandu FC's goalkeeper Niolaao Lorenzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dalmai Vadillo kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Niolaao Lorenzo was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Nuxila Guilizasti capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nuxila Guilizasti really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Ubarna Alves's late challenge caught a Paysandu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ubarna Alves helped the player get up and apologised. Ubarna Alves hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. If Esteban Colomines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Evaristo Monelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niolaao Lorenzo having to interfere. Evaristo Monelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the match, Nuxila Guilizasti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Niolaao Lorenzo. Paysandu FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nuxila Guilizasti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After a rather tough play, Paysandu FC's Dalmai Vadillo got a free kick in the 61st minute. Marcones Damar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Abrojal FC defense, Esteban Colomines kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilabert Fresno. The Abrojal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilabert Fresno should have stopped the shot. Niolaao Lorenzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuxila Guilizasti in the 75th minute of the match. After 79 minutes of play Paysandu FC's Dalmai Vadillo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a defensive mix-up in Paysandu FC's zone, Evaristo Monelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niolaao Lorenzo came out of the goal and Evaristo Monelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paysandu FC's Niolaao Lorenzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuxila Guilizasti in the 87th minute of play. When Esteban Colomines came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Paysandu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esteban Colomines couldn't finish the play. Abrojal FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Paysandu FC for a fine match.
