After 5 minutes, Honrio Barreiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mataojito AFC and the Barker AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th minute, Honrio Barreiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Frans Burcena fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barker AFC's protests and gave Frans Burcena a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Barker AFC's Frans Burcena got a free kick in the 7th minute. Xulian Chaniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Benet Huberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Barker AFC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Xzavier Aranzabe hit a great ball. If Xulian Chaniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mataojito AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Frans Burcena scored to the left of an out of position Filipo Urtueta, making the score, 1-0. When Frans Burcena came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Barker AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frans Burcena couldn't finish the play. Salvadore Bendicho hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Hermon Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Mataojito AFC fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Mataojito AFC's Xulian Chaniz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 33rd minute of the match Hugo Montano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benet Huberto skillfully saved the ball. Barker AFC's Benet Huberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xulian Chaniz in the 36th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Mataojito AFC's goalkeeper Filipo Urtueta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermon Mendes. In the 43rd minute Frans Burcena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipo Urtueta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Barker AFC's Filipo Urtueta threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Frans Burcena, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mataojito AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barker AFC the free kick. In the 90th minute, Enzo Abeitia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Barker AFC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Rioja Gala hit a great ball. After having played for 93 minutes, Xulian Chaniz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mataojito AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xulian Chaniz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Barker AFC's goalkeeper Benet Huberto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enzo Abeitia. Barker AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
