Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Teodoro Urtaza kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the match, Montes's goal looked a bit too open when Eustacio Cavaneros came free, but Gero Villamediana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Turienzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Gero Villamediana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredo Turienzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gero Villamediana having to interfere. Alfredo Turienzos short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Gero Villamediana to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Barros Grandoso fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montes's protests and gave Barros Grandoso a yellow card for diving instead. Gero Villamediana made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Alfredo Turienzo sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Medina FC's zone, Teodoro Urtaza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ekialde Cordal came out of the goal and Teodoro Urtaza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Eustacio Cavaneros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Danilo Gatell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Montes's zone, Alfredo Turienzo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gero Villamediana came out of the goal and Alfredo Turienzo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eustacio Cavaneros made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Montes's Heli Riopedre sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ekialde Cordal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 53rd minute Teodoro Urtaza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ekialde Cordal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Heli Riopedre took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ekialde Cordal. Ekialde Cordal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ekialde Cordal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Urtaza in the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Eustacio Cavaneros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gero Villamediana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gero Villamediana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Turienzo in the 85th minute of play. Teodoro Urtaza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ekialde Cordal having to make a save. If Teodoro Urtaza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Montes booed when Medina FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generosb Palomino didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Montes had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
