Spectators: 6788 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1688, VIP seats: 100) The supporters of Melo booed when progreso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvio Nogro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernandez Viteri during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th minute, Fernandez Viteri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Josias Argandona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute Erauso Carmeneses shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rius Munis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erauso Carmeneses's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rius Munis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Rius Munis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josias Argandona in the 16th minute of play. When Betadur Bugarin came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the progreso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Betadur Bugarin couldn't finish the play. 25 minutes into the match, progreso's goal looked a bit too open when Erauso Carmeneses came free, but Rius Munis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Erauso Carmeneses had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josias Argandona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Rius Munis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeremy Alcolea's late challenge caught a Melo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremy Alcolea helped the player get up and apologised. 31 minutes into the game, one of progreso:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Rius Munis had in the 33rdth minute some difficulties stopping Tercero Sasiain's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After having played for 39 minutes, Elvio Nogro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. progreso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elvio Nogro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute Elvio Nogro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gizon Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Josias Argandona made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Onofre Ondarra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of progreso:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Melo:s goal. Gizon Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvio Nogro in the 58th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, progreso's goal looked a bit too open when Josias Argandona came free, but Rius Munis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Melo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty! 1-1 came in the 75th minute when Jeremy Alcolea all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Gizon Matos. 79 minutes into the match, Melo's goal looked a bit too open when Elvio Nogro came free, but Gizon Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Betadur Bugarin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Estevon Santibañez hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Elvio Nogro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Gizon Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Betadur Bugarin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. progreso's Elvio Nogro got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 99th minute Betadur Bugarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gizon Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
