The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chinto Anduiza hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Arenal FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Martín Cauteruccio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Valencia F.C's Martín Cauteruccio was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 23rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Chinto Anduiza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ereinotz Cuebas in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mikel Pantoja, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ereinotz Cuebass short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Mikel Pantoja to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Martín Cauteruccio took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mikel Pantoja. Mikel Pantoja dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Quico Reiriz hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Arenal FC's Mikel Pantoja got control of the ball when Ereinotz Cuebas tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Ildefonso Vasaburu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Martín Cauteruccio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valencia F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Martín Cauteruccio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mikel Pantoja breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 55 minutes, Ereinotz Cuebas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valencia F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ereinotz Cuebas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mikel Pantoja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bibiano Teja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mikel Pantoja stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ereinotz Cuebas's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Mikel Pantoja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martín Cauteruccio, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Mikel Pantoja didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Valencia F.C's Martín Cauteruccio shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 6-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Mikel Pantoja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maura Serrana in the 70th minute of the match. The Arenal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mikel Pantoja should have stopped the shot. Astor Aumente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Mikel Pantoja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Maura Serrana made a precise shot to the right of Mikel Pantoja. Arenal FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. Ereinotz Cuebas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Mikel Pantoja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arenal FC's Mikel Pantoja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Astor Aumente in the 96th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Valencia F.C players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
