The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Loi Mendiune in the 76th minute of play forced Montero FC's goalkeeper Tibalt Capdevila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicunihue Futbol Clú's Alberto Spencer got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Montero FC's Mateo Carabajo got a free kick in the 84th minute. When Alberto Spencer came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Nicunihue Futbol Clú fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Spencer couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Nicunihue Futbol Clú fully deserved thier win.
