Francho Figueruel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Saiz in the 11th minute of play. In the 13thth minute of the game Donato Saiz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olivera AFC's Francho Figueruel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Niubels's Donato Saiz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francho Figueruel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ruperto Salero kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Olivera AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Saiz came free, but Francho Figueruel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Niubels getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Donato Saiz hit a great ball. With a little luck, Niubels's Uriel Cubero got control of the ball when Heriberto Villazan tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Gentza Tomas came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Niubels fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gentza Tomas couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Donato Saiz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francho Figueruel was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Gonzalo Lizarazu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olivera AFC's Francho Figueruel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Saiz in the 42nd minute of play. Francho Figueruel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donato Saiz's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Olivera AFC's zone, Gentza Tomas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francho Figueruel came out of the goal and Gentza Tomas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Donato Saiz came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Niubels fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Saiz couldn't finish the play. After the first half Niubels were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Heriberto Villazan kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Gentza Tomas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Olivera AFC's Francho Figueruel got control of the ball when Donato Saiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Niubels were furious when Cruz Lavet was red carded, 62 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 62nd minute, one of Niubels:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Niubels. If Ruperto Salero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Lorenzana in the 71st minute of play forced Niubels's goalkeeper Uriel Cubero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Alberto Lorenzana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olivera AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Niubels the free kick. Niubels's attentive Bruno Regueiro managed to snatch the ball when Germano Albarez made a throw-in in the 76th minute of the game. Tebaldo Dosal struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Francho Figueruel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Niubels. After a defensive mix-up in Olivera AFC's zone, Donato Saiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francho Figueruel came out of the goal and Donato Saiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Saiz in the 94th minute of play forced Olivera AFC's goalkeeper Francho Figueruel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Licerio Massey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francho Figueruel having to interfere.
