Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sidoro Izmendi took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Castilla FC's Lartaun Dominguez got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 7th minute of the match Sancho Olaisola sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Faustão Fantini skillfully saved the ball. In the 9th minute of the match Ulizes Jaen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Faustão Fantini showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Mark Maliaño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafe Pastor having to interfere. Sidoro Izmendi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafe Pastor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. After 22 minutes of play, Mirotaun's Txindoki Cascos made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Faustão Fantini was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mark Maliaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Castilla FC's Sidoro Izmendi got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafe Pastor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sidoro Izmendi in the 28th minute. After some careless play in the Mirotaun defense, Sidoro Izmendi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafe Pastor. The Mirotaun fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafe Pastor should have stopped the shot. After 33 minutes, Norberto Montalvo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castilla FC and the Mirotaun players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mark Maliaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Castilla FC booed when Mirotaun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mero Ajamil didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 45 minutes of play, Mirotaun's Emilio Gago made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Faustão Fantini was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Mirotaun's zone, Mark Maliaño stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafe Pastor came out of the goal and Mark Maliaño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mark Maliaño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Rafe Pastor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Txindoki Cascos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Faustão Fantini was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Mark Maliaño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Rafe Pastor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee ignored Castilla FC's protests and gave Ramone Montemiuño a yellow card for diving instead. Ramone Montemiuño hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Faustão Fantini made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Rodney Licon sent off a good shot on target. 79 minutes into the game, Peru Cardeña was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Castilla FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mirotaun the free kick. A collision led to Castilla FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Peru Cardeña hit a great ball. Norberto Montalvo got his second yellow card in the match during the 85th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 85th minute, Norberto Montalvo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Castilla FC's Faustão Fantini got control of the ball when Rodney Licon tried to sneak it across the goal line. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Castilla FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sancho Olaisola was slow to take the kick. During this time Mirotaun's players had a chance to rest. Mirotaun's Sancho Olaisola was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Faustão Fantini in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Faustão Fantini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Txindoki Cascos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
