Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Melo's Joam Era played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidoro Izmendi in the 8th minute of play. Dorio Gorostiza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joam Era having to interfere. Eleazar Orbaneja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustão Fantini having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Castilla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Indartsu Jares came free, but Faustão Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute Sidoro Izmendi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joam Era saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sidoro Izmendi fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castilla FC's protests and gave Sidoro Izmendi a yellow card for diving instead. Melo's Casado Cameno was substituted for Ondino Ayensa. Sidoro Izmendi kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sidoro Izmendi got free with Joam Era in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 34 minutes, Rufo Olate mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Melo and the Castilla FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorio Gorostiza in the 35th minute of play forced Melo's goalkeeper Joam Era to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Castilla FC's Joam Era threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mark Maliaño, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 38th match minute, Castilla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aires Boreyta to maneuver through the defense. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rius Melcon made a kick off. Zenaido Abreu charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zenaido Abreu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zenaido Abreu hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Faustão Fantini had great luck who in the 55thth minute grab hold of the ball when Rius Melcon from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sidoro Izmendi in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joam Era prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th minute, Dorio Gorostiza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joam Era was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rius Melcon in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faustão Fantini saved Castilla FC from getting behind. 72 minutes into the match, Castilla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eleazar Orbaneja came free, but Faustão Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Rius Melcon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Faustão Fantini was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Indartsu Jares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Faustão Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andres Senties got free with Faustão Fantini in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Castilla FC's Sidoro Izmendi got his second yellow card of the match in the 87th minute. The referee ordered Sidoro Izmendi off the ground. In the 88th match minute, Castilla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidoro Izmendi to maneuver through the defense. After 90 minutes, Ovidio Ibarzabal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castilla FC and the Melo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Melo booed when Castilla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidio Ibarzabal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ondino Saz hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Joam Era took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zenaido Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Melo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Melo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
