Eneko Edeon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xepe Balcells in the 9th minute of the match. Moise Bodes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eneko Edeon having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xepe Balcells in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eneko Edeon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Urdin Burgoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Odilón Guardas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Odilón Guardas managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Paysandú FCU's Urdin Burgoa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eneko Edeon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xepe Balcells's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 22nd minute Xepe Balcells shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eneko Edeon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Urdin Burgoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Odilón Guardas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 28 minutes Paysandú FCU's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aristides Locaio who took care of the corner kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Josue Laine advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-2 in the 28th minute. Isak Trillkott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eneko Edeon having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Xepe Balcells had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eneko Edeon. Paysandú FCU's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xepe Balcells was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Eneko Edeon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xepe Balcells, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute of the match Club YALE got a corner. Paysandú FCU's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aristides Locaio ran over to the corner to take the kick. 45 minutes into the match, Isak Trillkott had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eneko Edeon. Paysandú FCU's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isak Trillkott was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Urdin Burgoa to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urdin Burgoa in the 52nd minute of play forced Club YALE's goalkeeper Odilón Guardas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Paysandú FCU's Urdin Burgoa in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 65th minute, Xepe Balcells reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eneko Edeon. The goal made the score 0-6. Fernandez Argudo made in the 72nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Napier Puget however managed to control. In the 72nd minute, Policarpio Descalzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Urdin Burgoa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Odilón Guardas was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Aristides Locaio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eneko Edeon. That made the score 0-7 in the 80 minute of play. Xepe Balcells struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Eneko Edeon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club YALE. When Xepe Balcells came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Club YALE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xepe Balcells couldn't finish the play. Xepe Balcells took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eneko Edeon. Eneko Edeon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xepe Balcells in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eneko Edeon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 92nd minute, Muc Amandi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club YALE's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
