The Rocha FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valentim Izaga should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

After 69 played minutes, Rocha FC's Charlie Hedberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gaudencio Arbizu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rocha FC reached it. The supporters of Rocha FC booed when Boston River Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Sabugal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boston River Futbol Club's Gaudencio Arbizu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louis Agustino in the 73rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Temel Ülgener in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valentim Izaga saved Rocha FC from getting behind. In the 80th minute, Marco Sabugal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valentim Izaga was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Sabugal in the 96th minute of play forced Rocha FC's goalkeeper Valentim Izaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 98 minutes into the match, Rocha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Sabugal came free, but Valentim Izaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Rocha FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Boston River Futbol Club were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
