Bartoleme Ocouto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Punta Carretas FC's Santiago Ramirez got a free kick in the 12th minute. Aureo Cañete kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Echevarria's Rodrigo Rebenga broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lopes Avendaño in the 15th minute of play forced Punta Carretas FC's goalkeeper Edmund Kazimierz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Echevarria booed when Punta Carretas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximo Valino didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Punta Carretas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Medardo Laurenciano came free, but Edmund Kazimierz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Echevarria's Esquipula Betolaza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Echevarria from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute, Santiago Ramirez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Esquipula Betolaza was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Edmund Kazimierz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rocendo Fornell, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Esquipula Betolaza made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Noël Poncelet sent off a good shot on target. 40 minutes into the match, Lico Rigual notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Punta Carretas FC's Edmund Kazimierz. Edmund Kazimierz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edmund Kazimierz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lopes Avendaño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

Noël Poncelet kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Rodrigo Rebenga, 51 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Pellas Meldasgoas hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the match, Echevarria's goal looked a bit too open when Bartoleme Ocouto came free, but Esquipula Betolaza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Noël Poncelet hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Echevarria made a substitution. Belo Leturia replaced Rodrigo Rebenga. In the 64th match minute, Punta Carretas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noël Poncelet to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Echevarria's Edmund Kazimierz threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pellas Meldasgoas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 69 played minutes Echevarria got a freekick which was hit by Belo Leturia. When Bartoleme Ocouto came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Punta Carretas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bartoleme Ocouto couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rocendo Fornell got free with Edmund Kazimierz in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartoleme Ocouto in the 73rd minute of play forced Echevarria's goalkeeper Esquipula Betolaza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute Bartoleme Ocouto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esquipula Betolaza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Punta Carretas FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Botello Arizabaleta scored to the left of an out of position Edmund Kazimierz, making the score, 3-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Ramirez in the 82nd minute of play forced Echevarria's goalkeeper Esquipula Betolaza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esquipula Betolaza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Ramirez, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Esquipula Betolaza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartoleme Ocouto in the 86th minute of the match. Bartoleme Ocouto took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Esquipula Betolaza. Esquipula Betolaza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. If Bartoleme Ocouto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Punta Carretas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Botello Arizabaleta came free, but Edmund Kazimierz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Punta Carretas FC had won after a very even match.
