In the 12th minute, Prejun Guardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ejvind Frøding fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inautzi Ybarbo having to interfere. Inautzi Ybarbo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ejvind Frøding in the 17th minute of the match. The Pichincha Sporting Club fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Pichincha Sporting Club's Americo Tresgallo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Mateus Balanza didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Americo Tresgallo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Inautzi Ybarbo, 0-8.
