Izotz Caballeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Luis Alberto Cubilla put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Americo Tarrats. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luzea Beneit got free with Fernandez Vielva in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Atlas f.c.'s Ladio Folgueral got a free kick in the 21st minute. Americo Tarrats didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erling Braut Haaland went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Veremundo Labra got free with Fernandez Vielva in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Americo Tarrats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Alberto Cubilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Izotz Caballeiro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 47 minutes had been played. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The supporters of Piriapolis FC booed when Atlas f.c. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sancho Ibaizabal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atlas f.c.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Costel Pădure 56 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. Americo Tarrats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marz Danzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 76th minute, Ladio Folgueral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ladio Folgueral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Piriapolis FC's Luis Alberto Cubilla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Americo Tarrats. That made the score 0-7 after 88 minutes of play. Americo Tarrats made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Marz Danzo sent off a good shot on target. Sancho Ibaizabal hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Dodorol Azpiroz didn't quite understand what happened when in the 94 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. 96 minutes into the match, Piriapolis FC's Costel Pădure sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Americo Tarrats narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Atlas f.c. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Piriapolis FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
