The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Freddi Clavijo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ereinotz Masbernat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Freddi Clavijo made a huge save. Mario Vielva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Freddi Clavijo made a huge save. When Afonso Guzman came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Fear Of The Dark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Guzman couldn't finish the play. Lars Batzer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Kante in the 20th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roberto Kante in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lars Batzer saved Carqueja from getting behind. Fear Of The Dark's Freddi Clavijo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Fear Of The Dark from getting a goal against them. Elizardo Massana's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Freddi Clavijo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elizardo Massana got free with Freddi Clavijo in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Freddi Clavijo made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Ereinotz Masbernat sent off a good shot on target. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 33rd minute, but Freddi Clavijo got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Fear Of The Dark hanging dry this time. Fear Of The Dark's Freddi Clavijo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Fear Of The Dark from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute Mario Vielva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddi Clavijo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elizardo Massana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Vielva in the 39th minute of play forced Fear Of The Dark's goalkeeper Freddi Clavijo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carqueja's Lars Batzer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Guzman in the 40th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elizardo Massana to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Carqueja's goalkeeper Lars Batzer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexander Hinz. Agustín Álvarez kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Lauro Santandres hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After 61 played minutes Carqueja got a freekick which was hit by Lauro Santandres. In the 64th minute Juan-Alfredo Solares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddi Clavijo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Roberto Kante could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Lars Batzer however easily saved by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kismi Ochoa during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fear Of The Dark made a substitution. Lopez Letatu replaced Kismi Ochoa. Kismi Ochoa kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After 72 played minutes Carqueja got a freekick which was hit by Cortez Olalde. After a defensive mix-up in Fear Of The Dark's zone, Juan-Alfredo Solares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddi Clavijo came out of the goal and Juan-Alfredo Solares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 82 minutes, Juan-Alfredo Solares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carqueja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan-Alfredo Solares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carqueja made a substitution. Oliverio Cavallosa replaced Juan-Alfredo Solares. After having played for 85 minutes, Kirun Lisandri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fear Of The Dark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kirun Lisandri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, Mario Vielva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carqueja fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Carqueja fans cheered their team off the field, for while Fear Of The Dark had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
