In the 16th minute, Leoncito FC's Roger Painecura ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ronaldo Baracaldo. Ronaldo Baracaldo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Roger Painecura might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronaldo Baracaldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roger Painecura ran back to his position shaking his head. Leoncito FC's Victor Hugo Fedorov got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ervigio Liendo's late challenge caught a Leoncito FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ervigio Liendo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Molino FC's Ervigio Liendo got a free kick in the 26th minute. Roger Painecura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldo Baracaldo having to interfere. Roger Painecura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ronaldo Baracaldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roger Painecura in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronaldo Baracaldo saved Molino FC from getting behind. Gaitano Lecaroz hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Angelillo Espejo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ervigio Liendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Hugo Fedorov hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roger Painecura to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Angelillo Espejo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronaldo Baracaldo was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Aurelio Dundan hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Leoncito FC's Angelillo Espejo got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Angelillo Espejo put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ronaldo Baracaldo. Gervasio O´Caster hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Leoncito FC's Juan Luis Ansieta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Leoncito FC from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute Angelillo Espejo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Baracaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelillo Espejo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Molino FC's Ronaldo Baracaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Painecura in the 91st minute of play. Ronaldo Baracaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Painecura, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. If Angelillo Espejo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
