In the 5th minute, Molino FC got a penalty, and José Carlos Raglianti placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. In the 8th match minute, Molino FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ervigio Liendo to maneuver through the defense. Molino FC's Ronaldo Baracaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Amor in the 10th minute of play. Gualqui FC's Ezmundo Donoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlo Garfias in the 11th minute of play. After having played for 13 minutes, Leonel Amor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gualqui FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonel Amor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ezmundo Donoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlo Garfias in the 17th minute of the match. Carlo Garfias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ezmundo Donoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ezmundo Donoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ervigio Liendo in the 21st minute. After having played for 29 minutes, Gonzalo Bruggink managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gualqui FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonzalo Bruggink was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gonzalo Bruggink sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Leonel Amor put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ronaldo Baracaldo. If Leonel Amor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Gualqui FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonel Amor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ronaldo Baracaldo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Javier Lizondo. 56 minutes into the game, Gaitano Lecaroz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Molino FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gualqui FC the free kick. Gaitano Lecaroz hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Molino FC's Ronaldo Baracaldo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Molino FC from getting a goal against them. When Jeremías Moron fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Molino FC's protests and gave Jeremías Moron a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes Molino FC got a freekick which was hit by Jeremías Moron. Leonel Amor might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronaldo Baracaldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonel Amor ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Gonzalo Bruggink managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gualqui FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonzalo Bruggink was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldo Baracaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Jeremías Moron was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. A collision led to Molino FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Jeremías Moron hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, Jonatan Garín hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gualqui FC's Leonel Amor got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ronaldo Baracaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Amor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ervigio Liendo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Gualqui FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gualqui FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
