In the 6th minute, Zeus Fc's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Amadeo Illanes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 10 minutes, Gualberto Balut managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zeus Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gualberto Balut was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rogelio Potts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gualberto Balut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Zeus Fc booed when Islita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aureliano Berau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Hermua kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Rogelio Potts's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamín Hormazabal was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Lucero Arratia kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rogelio Potts stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benjamín Hormazabal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Potts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamín Hormazabal was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lucero Arratia. Rogelio Potts who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Benjamín Hormazabal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 63rd match minute, Islita FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benicio Masoli to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Rogelio Potts managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zeus Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogelio Potts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamín Hormazabal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Amadeo Illanes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilberto Pozo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salbatore Ortiz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeo Illanes in the 74th minute of play forced Zeus Fc's goalkeeper Salbatore Ortiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Islita FC's Benjamín Hormazabal got control of the ball when Rogelio Potts tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Islita FC's Amadeo Illanes in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zeus Fc's goalie prevented a goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Potts couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Zeus Fc's Fabricio Marchant got a free kick in the 91st minute. Andreo Meléndez was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Zeus Fc were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Islita FC to leave the ground with a draw.
