Boca Juniors's César Almazan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon-Ander Lazcano in the 40th minute of play. After 41 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Vodanovic. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardo Saravia to make the kick off. César Almazan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon-Ander Lazcano in the 63rd minute of play. Hugo Mogollon took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised César Almazan. César Almazan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 94 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Mogollon came free, but César Almazan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Churigualla AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
