In the 28th minute, one of Boco:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Boco. The goalkeeper, Xaiver Hesler, was totally fooled by Manuel Rodríguez FC's Bruno Manzano, who 31 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 34th minute Enrique Mariano Matetich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valiente Gebler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Manuel Rodríguez FC booed when Boco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristeo Paz didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guillermo Formoso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Valiente Gebler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Mariano Matetich, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Xaiver Hesler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Manuel Rodríguez FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Boco had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
