After some careless play in the Duao defense, Miguel Ángel Vidma kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rollo Gavilán. The Duao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rollo Gavilán should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Maximino Urquieta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alqui's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximino Urquieta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rollo Gavilán breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute, Topocho Ayarza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute Maximino Urquieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rollo Gavilán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rollo Gavilán showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Ángel Vidma, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Maximino Urquieta struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Rollo Gavilán didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alqui. In the 25th minute, Calvino Liendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Angelino Zubelzu fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Duao's protests and gave Angelino Zubelzu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Duao getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Angelino Zubelzu hit a great ball. Topocho Ayarza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rollo Gavilán stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Ángel Vidma's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Maximino Urquieta scored 0-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rollo Gavilán, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd minute Maximino Urquieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rollo Gavilán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Duao players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Alqui were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maximino Urquieta was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Lander Basualto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Rufo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 played minutes Alqui got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Urquieta. Asier Fuentealba hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Ariano Macuer managed to get in a good position for a shot. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Maximino Urquieta fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rollo Gavilán, passed just outside the right post. Topocho Ayarza kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Rollo Gavilán made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Narcís Necochea sent off a good shot on target. The Alqui players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
