Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Naval Talcahuano's Carlos Alberto Pinuer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Francisco Antonio Aldana's late challenge caught a Naval Talcahuano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After having played for 6 minutes, Carlos Alberto Pinuer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Naval Talcahuano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Alberto Pinuer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Naval Talcahuano's goalkeeper Bautista Scapini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Antonio Aldana. Francisco Antonio Aldana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Bautista Scapini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duao's Rollo Gavilán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esequiel Fabiani in the 13th minute of play. After 19 played minutes Duao got a freekick which was hit by Eric Landman. Carlos Alberto Pinuer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abelado Spöerer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Rollo Gavilán tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, Naval Talcahuano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esequiel Fabiani to maneuver through the defense. If Lander Basualto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Antonio Aldana might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bautista Scapini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisco Antonio Aldana ran back to his position shaking his head. Carlos Alberto Pinuer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Angelino Zubelzu hit a great ball. Esequiel Fabiani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th match minute, Duao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Antonio Aldana to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Lander Basualto struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Bautista Scapini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Duao. After a rather tough play, Naval Talcahuano's Henrico Cardemil got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the game, Alvar Gamboa threw the ball into play from the sideline. Duao's Francisco Antonio Aldana quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Pinuer in the 60th minute of play forced Duao's goalkeeper Rollo Gavilán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Topocho Ayarza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute, Esequiel Fabiani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rollo Gavilán was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Esequiel Fabiani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Naval Talcahuano's supporters rose to their feet, but Esequiel Fabiani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rollo Gavilán breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute, Francisco Antonio Aldana made a precise shot to the right of Bautista Scapini. Naval Talcahuano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After 78 played minutes Naval Talcahuano got a freekick which was hit by Esequiel Fabiani. A collision led to Duao getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Topocho Ayarza hit a great ball. In the 84th minute Carlos Alberto Pinuer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rollo Gavilán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 88 minutes, Carlos Alberto Pinuer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Naval Talcahuano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Alberto Pinuer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Esequiel Fabiani came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Naval Talcahuano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esequiel Fabiani couldn't finish the play. The Duao support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
