In the 21st match minute, Naval Talcahuano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cresenciano Marti to maneuver through the defense. Tuna Talcahuano's Milián Viel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alberto Pinuer in the 24th minute of play. 1-1 became the score in the 25th minute when Haroldo Larrauna elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Bautista Scapini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Larrauna in the 31st minute of the match. In the 31st match minute, Naval Talcahuano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrico Cardemil to maneuver through the defense. Abelado Spöerer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Milián Viel having to make a save. Tuna Talcahuano's Milián Viel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Tuna Talcahuano from getting a goal against them. The corner ended in Carlos Alberto Pinuer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tuna Talcahuano's Milián Viel did a great save. If Abelado Spöerer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Rodolfo Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Tuna Talcahuano getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Frances Basay hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Mario Alberto Sartie kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Xavier Ansieta took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Milián Viel. Milián Viel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Rodolfo Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Bautista Scapini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tuna Talcahuano. A collision led to Tuna Talcahuano getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Frances Basay hit a great ball. Xavier Ansieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milián Viel having to interfere. When Cresenciano Marti fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Naval Talcahuano's protests and gave Cresenciano Marti a yellow card for diving instead. After 72 played minutes Naval Talcahuano got a freekick which was hit by Cresenciano Marti. Odín Santander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xavier Ansieta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute, Rodolfo Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Esequiel Fabiani sped through Tuna Talcahuano's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Milián Viel. In the 82nd minute, Odín Santander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xavier Ansieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milián Viel having to interfere. Milián Viel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Pinuer in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th match minute, Tuna Talcahuano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Alberto Sartie to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Alberto Pinuer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milián Viel having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Naval Talcahuano's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Larrauna came free, but Bautista Scapini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rodolfo Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Naval Talcahuano's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
