Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Brian Rio started the match with the kick off. Miguel Ángel Vidma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Albino Arlegui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximino Urquieta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Curtiduria's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Maximino Urquieta scored to the left of an out of position Albino Arlegui, making the score, 1-0. After 18 minutes, Miguel Finlay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Curtiduria and the Alqui players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Curtiduria fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! Curtiduria:s Albino Arlegui showed great skill when he stopped Ariano Macuer:s penalty. Alqui's Maximino Urquieta was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 21st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Brian Rio might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emiliano Rufo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brian Rio ran back to his position shaking his head. Maximino Urquieta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the game, Narcís Necochea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alqui's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curtiduria the free kick. After a rather tough play, Alqui's Narcís Necochea got a free kick in the 28th minute. Albino Arlegui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximino Urquieta in the 34th minute of the match. Miguel Finlay kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Brian Rio struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Emiliano Rufo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curtiduria. Uriel Cumplido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Rufo having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maximino Urquieta to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Curtiduria's zone, Maximino Urquieta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albino Arlegui came out of the goal and Maximino Urquieta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Maximino Urquieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Alqui getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Rolando Encalada hit a great ball. A collision led to Curtiduria getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Eder Roger hit a great ball. If Brian Rio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maximino Urquieta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Albino Arlegui stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Ángel Vidma's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. If Maximino Urquieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narcís Necochea hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Albino Arlegui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Encalada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximino Urquieta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Maximino Urquieta came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Alqui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximino Urquieta couldn't finish the play.
