The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remicio Price in the 3rd minute of play forced Ancovinto FC's goalkeeper Mariano Guisado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Hernández did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Mariano Guisado 10 minutes into the match. Felipe Hernández received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Mariano Guisado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaume Cancino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Próspero Friederichs having to make a save. Próspero Friederichs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaume Cancino in the 16th minute of the match. In the 17th play minute Felipe Hernández came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mariano Guisado. 2-0. 28 minutes into the game, Saturnino Aburto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC Richmond's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ancovinto FC the free kick. The supporters of Ancovinto FC booed when AFC Richmond was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Aburto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, AFC Richmond's goal looked a bit too open when Jaume Cancino came free, but Próspero Friederichs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd play minute Felipe Hernández came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mariano Guisado. 4-0. Romelio Reynero hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. If Remicio Price had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Ancovinto FC's Mariano Guisado got control of the ball when Felipe Hernández tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felipe Hernández who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Mariano Guisado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 47th minute, AFC Richmond's Remicio Price ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mariano Guisado. Mariano Guisado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felipe Hernández to strike the kick off in the second half. Próspero Friederichs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Llana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Luciano Llana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. AFC Richmond's Lucio Jose María Coromina was substituted for Sandro Cavareda. AFC Richmond's Enrique Arostegui was substituted for Felipe Hernández. In the 64th minute, Enrique Arostegui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Remicio Price kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Miren Domínguez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remicio Price took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mariano Guisado. Mariano Guisado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Enrique Arostegui sped through Ancovinto FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mariano Guisado. Aníbal Marraccini charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aníbal Marraccini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Remicio Price had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
