CF Nacional were furious when David Israel Larraguibel was red carded, 5 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 9 minutes into the game, Edgar Daldos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CF Nacional's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ancovinto FC the free kick. A collision led to CF Nacional getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. In the 12th minute, Manuel Caballero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jaume Cancino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Bernardino Barria made a huge save. Jaume Cancino's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bernardino Barria firmly grabbed it by the left post. CF Nacional's Bernardino Barria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save CF Nacional from getting a goal against them. After 17 played minutes, Ancovinto FC's Manuel Caballero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bernardino Barria came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ancovinto FC reached it. Jaume Cancino took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernardino Barria. Bernardino Barria dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After some careless play in the CF Nacional defense, Luciano Llana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardino Barria. The CF Nacional fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardino Barria should have stopped the shot. If Regino Urruticoechea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Guisado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magdaleno Goyeneche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enzo Anders blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mariano Guisado having to make a save. If Salomón Saa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 43 minutes into the match, CF Nacional's goalkeeper Bernardino Barria had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romelio Reynero. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Llana in the 47th minute of play forced CF Nacional's goalkeeper Bernardino Barria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luciano Llana to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Manuel Caballero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute Romelio Reynero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardino Barria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardino Barria came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Ancovinto FC's Luciano Llana. But to his dismay, Luciano Llana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Llana in the 64th minute of play forced CF Nacional's goalkeeper Bernardino Barria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CF Nacional's Bernardino Barria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quentín Raheiro in the 71st minute of play. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ancovinto FC's goalkeeper Mariano Guisado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Magdaleno Goyeneche fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CF Nacional's protests and gave Magdaleno Goyeneche a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd minute, Magdaleno Goyeneche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Romelio Reynero made a precise shot to the right of Bernardino Barria. CF Nacional's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the CF Nacional players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ancovinto FC.
