Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ralf Kann came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Universidad de chile's Mercé Schneider. But to his dismay, Mercé Schneider quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ralf Kann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yoel Potts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Budeuca FC's Romelio Arriagada has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 17th minute. After 23 minutes of play, Universidad de chile's Silvestre Garretón made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ralf Kann was left in no man's land by his defense there! 26 minutes into the match, Universidad de chile's goalkeeper Alcadio Lemos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miliano Renquin. Alcadio Lemos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miliano Renquin went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Universidad de chile's Alcadio Lemos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miliano Renquin in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Universidad de chile's Silvestre Garretón nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ralf Kann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. 40 minutes into the match, Miliano Renquin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alcadio Lemos. Universidad de chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miliano Renquin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. In the 44th minute, Máximo Thompson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Universidad de chile defense, Miliano Renquin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alcadio Lemos. The Universidad de chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alcadio Lemos should have stopped the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Ralf Kann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvestre Garretón in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the match, Budeuca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yoel Potts came free, but Ralf Kann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Máximo Thompson kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. If Miliano Renquin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miliano Renquin in the 70th minute of play forced Universidad de chile's goalkeeper Alcadio Lemos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 76 played minutes, Universidad de chile's Roy Tabilo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ralf Kann came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Universidad de chile reached it. Miliano Renquin's late challenge caught a Universidad de chile's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miliano Renquin helped the player get up and apologised. Miliano Renquin hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Garretón in the 86th minute of play forced Budeuca FC's goalkeeper Ralf Kann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Israel Maquieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Universidad de chile getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Taurino Morillo hit a great ball. Budeuca FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
