But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evaristo Heli couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Purey's Ubaldo Urzúa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manu Heiremans. That made the score 1-1 after 22 minutes of play. Ubaldo Urzúa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Manu Heiremans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Baudelio Cacho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Ansaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
